Maryland HomeCredit Program

DHCD's Maryland HomeCredit Program provides eligible homebuyers with a federal tax credit that may be claimed annually, the value of which is equal to 25% of the value of mortgage interest payments (up to $2,000) paid each year, for the life of the loan. Begins 6/1/14 until 12/15/2015.

Military Veterans' Incentive

The Department of Housing and Community Development is proud to launch our newest version of Maryland Homefront: The Veterans and Military Family Mortgage Program (Maryland Homefront).  Homefront provides military veterans and active duty military with a special interest rate discount of 0.25% for a 30-year, fixed rate mortgage, and Maryland HomeCredit, providing annual federal tax savings, free of all DHCD fees. (Lender fees may still apply.)
