Criteria to apply:
- Licensed real estate salesperson, associate broker, broker, or affiliate member prior to applying.
- Primary Maryland REALTORS® and local board/association member in good standing.
- Active involvement and experience in your local board/association or at the state level are required for participation.
- Participation in all sessions is mandatory. Applicants for the 2027 class must commit to the following dates:
October 8, 2026: Orientation and Organizational Leadership
November 12, 2026: Effective Communications/Media Relations
December 10, 2026: Professional Conduct & Association Governance
January 14, 2027: Organizational Long-Range Planning
February 17, 2027: The Role of the Association in Legislation/Government Affairs
March 11, 2027: Diversity in Business
April 8, 2027: Finale: The Leadership Journey
April 22, 2027: Leadership Academy Graduation and Recognition Lunch
In addition to the classes listed above, Leadership Academy participants must complete and show proof of completion to Leadership Academy staff of the following courses prior to graduation:
