CE Completion Requirements

Effective October 1, 2024, new regulations (Titles 17-314 and 17-315) went into effect regarding Continuing Education completion and submission prior to license renewal.

  1. CE courses must be completed 30 days prior to your license renewal date to avoid a reinstatement fee. 
  2. CE Providers have up to 14 days from the completion of a course to upload the credit hours into the MREC system.

Maryland Real Estate Commission

The Maryland Real Estate Commission (MREC) licenses real estate brokers and agents and. receives 400-500 consumer complaints annually. MREC is a special funded entity in which license fees fund MREC operations as well as the Real Estate Guaranty Fund.

National Association of REALTORS®

The National Association of REALTORS® and its affiliated Institutes, Societies, and Councils provide a wide range of programs and services that help members increase their skills, proficiency, and knowledge. Designations and certifications acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors are awarded by NAR and each affiliated group upon completion of required courses.
